ABOUT CINDY
CERAMIC ARTIST - ARTIST
Cindy's journey from Australia to the Netherlands at a young age marked a significant turning point in her life. Settling in the quaint village of Beesel allowed her to discover and immerse herself in the thriving ceramic industry, a craft that resonated deeply with her passion for working with clay.
Her decision to undergo apprenticeship and technical training in fine ceramics in Gouda solidified her commitment to this art form. Moving to a historic building in Beesel, where she both resides and works, further embedded her in the community and her craft.
Cindy's approach to her work is characterized by a blend of tradition and innovation. She draws inspiration from both the timeless techniques of the past and the contemporary methods of the present, constantly pushing boundaries and seeking new avenues of creativity.
In her creations, Cindy imbues a sense of continuity and evolution. Each piece bears the marks of her experiences and influences, reflecting not only her personal journey but also the ever-changing landscape of the ceramic industry. Like life itself, her work is a blend of the familiar and the new, each piece a testament to the traces left behind by both past and present.
